The colophon

The name already knew.

Read it once and it says charisma + think: presence, and the thinking that earns it. Read it again and it comes apart into three older pieces — charis, math, ink.

charis
Grace

Grace, favor — the gift a speaker earns, not performs. Pillar: rhetoric, presence, self-formation.

manthanein
Math — learning

To learn. Pillar: philosophy and the practice of deep reading.

enkauston
Ink — writing

“Burned in.” Pillar: writing, notes, the mark.

The faces

Four faces set everything the house makes.

Cormorantthe display voice — titles, passages, the wordmark.
Newsreaderthe text voice — body, and the italic marginalia.
Archivothe label voice — kickers, source lines, the seal.
Courier Primethe draft voice — working notes only; it appears when the work is shown unfinished, and nowhere else.

The laws of the house

Three laws govern every page here, and every page elsewhere.

Sources or silence

Every quotation carries a work and a location. What cannot be verified is not printed — a claim without a receipt waits, flagged, until it has one.

One red per frame

The red is a pen, not a paint. It marks one thing in any frame — an underline, a word, the mark — and never decorates.

Rewrite, never repost

Nothing ships twice. Every cut of an idea is rewritten for its surface from the idea itself.

When the house breaks its own laws, the correction ships within a day, numbered, on the surfaces that carried the error. The register is public.

How the site is made

Static pages, built from plain text. The four faces are served from this domain — no font network, no tracker, no cookie, no analytics, no script but one: the line that draws. Full essays travel in the feed. The site keeps its reasoning in view-source, on purpose.

The roots above are set in roman letters because none of the house faces carry Greek — the script arrives when a face does.
